Congregational Peace Advocates

Each congregation in the conference is encouraged to designate a Peace Advocate for your congregation. This person could receive and provide information to their congregation concerning peace-related events. As needed, they could also help encourage discussions around peace, make persons aware of Sunday school curriculums on Peace, etc. Specifically at this time, they could be of help in gathering Peace Stories. Please let us know the contact information of your Congregation Peace Advocate.  See a Peace Advocate description .

Annual Hymn Sing For Peace in Washington DC

This event has been held in Washington DC every year since 1998.  This time of outdoor singing together is designed as a simple witness to the ways of our Lord and Savior, the Prince of Peace.  This is normally held in the month of April or May each year.  While the Hymn Sing for Peace was begun by Virginia Conference Churches, it is now sponsored by the Washington DC Anabaptist Peace Center. For further information and a date for the next Hymn Sing for Peace, go to their website at www.apcwdc.mennonite.net/
