The first meeting of Virginia Mennonite Conference, at which minutes were taken and preserved, was held in 1835.

It is thought that perhaps Virginia Mennonites met in even earlier gatherings.

Virginia Mennonite Conference, a member of Mennonite Church USA, is a network of congregations and ministry organizations linked by history, theology and geography, with a shared call to Christian faith, evangelism, discipleship, peacemaking and service.

Virginia Mennonite Conference seeks to be an agent of God's call to individuals, congregations and organizations to follow Jesus and embody faith, hope, peace and love in the world.

Conference Assembly 2008Register now for the Virginia Mennonite Conference Assembly in Harrisonburg, July 24-26, 2008, at Eastern Mennonite School. This worshipful and exciting gathering brings together Mennonites from all over the conference for a weekend of worship, workshops, delegate sessions, youth and childrens' activities, late night music, and food.
